As of 06 Nov 1998, "Dr. Dean" is available online! This ambitious, well-integrated site posts transcripts of the daily radio shows & TV medical minutes. There's a page for every item covered in the monologue at the top of each day's the radio show and a page for each question fielded on-air. Each of *those* pages provides links to archived Edell comments on the topic and/or related news items. Subscribe to the e-mailed "Daily Digest" to know what was covered in each day's show (esp. useful in radio markets where Dr. Dean isn't available). It's all searchable and is just a portion of the much larger HealthCentral site (which deserves its own link & summary...).
